Meg's is the place for great food that locals eat. The Teri beef and Teri chicken, and Loco Moco were all very good. We got here too late for any of the specials (sold out), but we are happy and we'll fed. The Teri beef was not as flavorful as I had hoped, but was still very good and brought back some great memories from high school some 40 years ago. The Teri chicken was outstanding and loco moco was great as well.

Service was exceptional. It felt like I was at a friend's home and being treated like family (except I had to pay). Parenting the way it used to be. Two windows for ordering making it very convenient to wait for food at your table.

Pretty diverse crowd for a local place which means word is getting around (& folks are reading Yelp). Lots of tables, all covered, some "inside" have a little more protection from the elements - we didn't need any protection.

Parking wasn't a problem, but I can see how it could be during meal times. Plan your visit and eat like a local at a place that deserves your business!

I went to Meg's for the first time. After reading the reviews, I decided to order a Teri Hamburger Plate and. Turkey Plate. When I got to the counter, I told the cashier what I wanted and she told me, that I meant Teri Beef Plate. I said No, I wanted a Teri Hamburger Plate. She repeated herself, Teri Beef Plate. I finally agreed with her, thinking she meant Teri Hamburger Plate. After all, she didn't say that she didn't have Teri Hamburger Plate (because one of the reviews stated the Teri Hamburger Plate was good).
When I got home, I saw that she had given me a Teri Beef Plate (not Hamburger). It had no flavor!
The Turkey Plate was dry and gravy was not good.
    Very disappointing!

Meg's Drive-In brings back all the nostalgia of classic Hawaii as a spot fueled by local popularity.  It's a super unassuming restaurant with casual tables and plastic chairs.  Order at the counter and grab a number.  The menu has all the local favorites under the sun from katsu to curry to saimin.  Green river too.  Parking is kind of sparse with about 6 stalls in front.

I stopped in to try some breakfast.  Ordered the fried rice plate which comes with two eggs your way and choice of meat.  The food was freshly cooked and fast.  Truthfully, the fried rice wasn't the tastiest and it came with carrots and random pieces of meats.  The perfectly runny egg yolk helped though.  I also had the banana pancakes which were fluffy and so good with the slab of melting butter on top.

Overall, the breakfast was ok but I think I'll come back to try one of their plate lunches or saimin.

Breakfast here is always good. Fried rice is exceptional as are the pancakes. The Teri hamburger steak plate, fried chicken wing plate, chicken katsu plate and turkey are all great plates.
The service is also quick here.

This review goes back to last December when my family and I were visiting the islands and I just realized I hadn't written a review.  My friends had been telling me to try Meg's and I finally got the chance and I'm so happy we got to eat here.

My son ordered the Beef Stew and he devoured it quickly, which was a good sign.  I was able to take a scoop before he finished and man was that ono.  They also gave a good amount of food (2 scoops rice & Mac Salad) too.  I had the Loco Moco and my wife enjoyed the Mochiko Chicken.  All the food was cooked perfectly and was delicious.  Portion size was good and filling.

Service was very good and friendly as well.  The menu is vast, so I'll have to come back to try some of their other items.
